J. Michael Eaton

J. Michael Eaton has extensive experience in policy advocacy at the local, state and national levels and a successful track record in securing approvals for high profile and controversial facilities.

Mike is co-founder and senior vice president of GH Global Health Direct. He co-originated a vision for a Web-based application to connect buyers and sellers of health care and translated that vision into product development and a U.S. patent application filing. Prior to that, he was regional vice president, Physician and Network Development for Covenant HealthCare Services.

Mike began his career as legislative director for U.S. Congressman Henry Hyde from 1984 to 1986, legislative director for U.S. Congressman Bill Emerson from 1986 to 1987. He was a self-employed campaign consultant from 1987 to 1996 and served as chief of staff for Wisconsin State Senator Margaret Farrow from 1995 to 1996.

From 1991 to 1995, Mike was president of Lakeside Association Services, Inc., a subsidiary of the Wisconsin State Medical Society. He also served as executive director of the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants and executive director of the Wisconsin Medical Group Management Association.

Mike worked as director of government affairs for Aurora Health Care from 1996 to 2000. He developed and executed plans to secure permitting approvals from state and local governments for new hospitals in Kenosha and Green Bay, Wisconsin, resulting in both facilities opening ahead of schedule. He successfully lobbied the Wisconsin State Legislature and Governor and Congress for approval of new disproportionate share funding for Aurora Sinai Medical Center. He also served as executive director of Aurora Family Service, Inc., a division of Aurora Health Care from 2000 to 2003.

Mike received a BS with honors in Economics and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is active in civic affairs and is a current board member of Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church and School.
